Estadio Akron, Guadalajara, (Zapopan)
Initially referred to simply as Chivas Stadium or more symbolically as "El Templo Mayor," reminiscent of the famous temple in Mexico City, it later adopted the commercial name Estadio Omnilife. Construction commenced in February 2004, less than two years after billionaire Jorge Vergara acquired Chivas. However, due to financial constraints, the construction experienced multiple interruptions, concluding after a span of 6.5 years.
The stadium's distinctive feature lies in its hill-like design. A concrete shell, cast on-site, was adorned with 70,000 m2 of grass, creating a dynamic and seamlessly integrated connection with the surrounding landscape. This visionary concept was brought to life by VFO architects, resembling a volcano with a red crater formed by double-tiered seating and a white cloud-like roof seemingly levitating, supported by only 16 pillars.
corner level seats (sections 06 - 07, 08 - 09, 14 - 15, 18 - 19, 25 - 26, 32 -34, 42 - 43)
Enjoying architecture and almost-nothing-distract-view from these seats, you’re truly inside the game! These seats are the most affordable seats in the Estadio Akron. Though it still has something to offer and provide with fun.
endzone level seats (sections 25 - 34, 32 - 43 / 06 - 15, 08 - 19)
The Endzone Section Level is a seating area behind the endzone. For most games these are the cheapest Akron football tickets you can find.
sidelines level seats (sections 20 - 31, 17 - 24 / 01 - 07, 44 - 48, 36 - 38)
Lower level sections at Infocision Stadium each have 21 rows with row 1 located just a few feet from the field. Our favorite rows in these sections are 15 and higher where you have an elevated view of Akron football and are just a few feet away from the concourse.
The Akron sideline is located on the west side of the field (even-numbered sections), while the visitors occupy the east sideline. On that east side, sections 111-121 are reserved seating, while the other sections are un-reserved student sections.
The size of the suites at Estadio Akron differs based on the suite level.
