At a Glance
The essentials, before you book a single thing.
The Experience
Canada’s first soccer-specific stadium, opened in 2007 and significantly renovated in 2015 with an upper deck, canopy roof, and extended field. Situated at Exhibition Place on the Lake Ontario waterfront — one of the best-located stadiums in the country.
The Stadium
- Canada’s first purpose-built soccer stadium — designed specifically for the sport with strong sightlines from every tier
- 2015 renovation added the upper deck, bringing capacity to ~30,000, plus a canopy roof over seating areas for weather coverage
- Hybrid SISGrass playing surface combining natural grass with synthetic fibres — durable and high-quality year-round
- KLM Tunnel Club at field level sits steps from the team locker rooms — the most immersive premium experience in the building
- Dedicated supporters section at the south end — one of the most atmospheric supporter atmospheres in MLS
- FIFA World Cup 2026 host venue — multiple group-stage matches confirmed for Toronto
Arrive Ready
- 60 minutes early for standard matches — 90 minutes for World Cup fixtures and sellout TFC games
- GO Train has a station right outside the stadium — the most direct transit option from Union Station and across the GTA
- TTC streetcar (509/511) connects directly along the waterfront from downtown
- Downtown hotels are within walking distance or a short transit ride — practical for most guests staying in the core
- Exhibition Place grounds are a destination in themselves — arrive early to walk the waterfront before the match
Events & Schedule
Home to Toronto FC and the Toronto Argonauts — plus a FIFA World Cup 2026 host venue with confirmed group-stage fixtures, international soccer, and major events throughout the year.
Toronto FC
- Full MLS home schedule from February through October
- Canadian Championship matches hosted at BMO Field throughout the season
- Canadian Men’s and Women’s national team matches — BMO Field is the primary Canadian national team venue
- MLS Cup Playoffs if Toronto FC qualifies — the stadium has hosted the MLS Cup final
The south-end supporters section (Red Patch Boys) is among the most passionate in MLS — the atmosphere for big matches is exceptional.
World Cup 2026 Toronto
- BMO Field is a confirmed FIFA World Cup 2026 host venue — multiple group-stage matches assigned to Toronto
- Including a Round of 16 match — one of the highest-profile fixtures assigned to the venue
- Premium and suite access for World Cup is extremely limited — allocated largely through official channels
- International crowds and elevated security protocols significantly different from a standard TFC match
Historic Moments
Planning Ahead
BMO Field is hosting multiple World Cup 2026 group-stage matches and a Round of 16 fixture. Premium access is extremely limited and largely pre-allocated. Club seating is often more attainable while still delivering an upgraded experience. Reach out well before fixtures are confirmed.
Toronto Add-Ons
Scotiabank Arena (Maple Leafs NHL, Raptors NBA) is a 15-minute walk along the waterfront from BMO Field. A TFC match and a Leafs or Raptors game in the same Toronto trip is one of the easiest multi-sport packages in Canadian sports.
Reach out with your target event and date — we’ll confirm availability and build the full Toronto package.

Two main levels — lower (100s) and upper (200s) — with sideline and endzone options at each. Row selection matters in the lower bowl given the depth of some sections.

Hotels & Neighborhoods
BMO Field is at Exhibition Place on the waterfront — four distinct Toronto zones all within easy transit reach.
Liberty Village / King West
Immediately east of Exhibition Place — walkable to BMO Field with a strong independent restaurant and bar scene. Liberty Village is Toronto’s most concentrated tech and creative neighbourhood, with King West extending the dining corridor east toward downtown.
Downtown / Entertainment District
Toronto’s hotel and nightlife core — the Financial District, TIFF Bell Lightbox, and Rogers Centre are all here. Scotiabank Arena is in this zone. A short TTC ride or 20-minute walk from BMO Field. Our most common placement zone for Toronto sports trips.
Harbourfront / Queens Quay
Directly on Lake Ontario with hotel options along the waterfront promenade. A scenic 15-minute walk to BMO Field along Queens Quay. Best for groups who want a relaxed waterfront setting and easy walking access to both BMO Field and Scotiabank Arena.
Distillery District / King East
Toronto’s most atmospheric neighbourhood — Victorian industrial architecture, independent restaurants, boutique hotels, and year-round events. ~25 min from BMO Field by TTC. Best for groups who want neighbourhood character alongside sports access.

Scotiabank Arena (Leafs NHL, Raptors NBA) is a 15-minute waterfront walk — the easiest multi-venue combination in Toronto sports. Exhibition Place grounds host year-round events including the Canadian National Exhibition — arrive early to explore the lakefront. King West immediately east is Toronto’s best pre- and post-game restaurant and bar corridor.
Common Questions
First-time visitor answers, plainly stated.
The GO Train is the most direct option — Exhibition GO Station is right outside the grounds and service runs frequently on event days from Union Station and across the GTA. The 509 and 511 TTC streetcars are the best option if you’re staying downtown or in King West. Both avoid parking entirely and are faster than driving post-match.
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) is the closest at roughly 15 minutes — predominantly served by Porter Airlines with routes across eastern Canada and the US East Coast. Toronto Pearson (YYZ) has far broader international and domestic route coverage and connects to Union Station via the UP Express in ~25 minutes, from where the GO Train runs directly to Exhibition Place.
The Tunnel Club is at field level immediately adjacent to the locker room tunnel — your guests watch the teams walk out onto the pitch within arm’s reach. It’s a fundamentally different experience from an elevated suite: you’re at ground level, part of the entry ritual, and as close to the players as any premium product at any MLS venue. All-inclusive food, private restrooms, and dedicated service are included.
Yes — Scotiabank Arena (Maple Leafs, Raptors) is a 15-minute walk along the Queens Quay waterfront promenade. A TFC match and a Leafs or Raptors game in the same Toronto trip is one of the easiest multi-sport packages in Canadian sports. One hotel, two venues, all walkable or one TTC stop apart.
