Artistic Gymnastics – Summer Games 2024
The program consists of six apparatus for the men (floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar) and four for the women (vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise). The program is split between individual events per apparatus, and individual and team events across all apparatus (the all-around and by team). The gymnasts display exceptional balance, power, strength, and flexibility while performing somersaults and flips with other acrobatic elements.

Did you know..
The gymnast who excels across all apparatuses is crowned the individual all-around champion. Both men and women compete in this multi-discipline event, showcasing their versatility and skills across various apparatuses.
The team competition in artistic gymnastics involves a group of gymnasts from the same country competing on each apparatus. The scores from all team members contribute to the overall team score. The team with the highest cumulative score wins the gold medal.
Artistry and Execution: While difficulty is a crucial component of scoring, judges also evaluate the execution and artistry of the routine. Deductions are made for errors such as steps on landings, form breaks, and falls.
